An elite unit of knights returns home after serving their king loyally in distant battles for many years. To their horror, they discover the kingdom has changed and is now blanketed in darkness. Their once-noble king has been corrupted by dark magic and his kingdom is now infected with evil. The knights attempt to assassinate the king and fail, so they escape to the ravaged lands beneath the king's floating palace. The knights must now embark on an epic journey to destroy the source of the king's power in order to restore peace to their land and avenge their fallen comrades.
