Press Release

Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball™ to Launch in January

TORRANCE, Calif., November 7, 2000-Tecmo® announced today that it is postponing the release of its highly anticipated game, Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, until the beginning of next year. The first ever "Fantasy Sports Simulation" featuring the girls from the popular Dead or Alive series was scheduled to launch on December 5th, 2002 exclusively for the Xbox™ video game system from Microsoft. The game will now hit stores in January 2003 boasting a variety of new features that will be added to the game before its completion.

The decision to push back the game was made after Tecmo came to the resolution that its number one priority is to put out the best possible game that it can. Fans of the Dead or Alive series expect high standards, and the developers of the game plan to live up to them. The game will include a host of extra features when it launches, including hundreds of new costumes and accessories.
