Interactive Achievement Awards hosted by AIAS
On February 28, the 5th Interactive Achievement Awards hosted by AIAS (Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (R)) have been announced. Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty has won the Outstanding Achievement in Sound Design Award.
The Interactive Achievement Awards are presented for further recognition of the games industry and the best games by awarding them. AIAS members vote via the Internet to choose from console games, PC games, and online games released in the past year.
MGS2 was released in the US last November, followed by the European release on March 8, 2002. Sales figures for this fiscal year are expected to reach 4.5 million units.
