Story
Sierra final came up with a brilliant idea. "Lets make JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit into a game" THe story is simple. Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit, is told by a strange wizard named Gandalf that he is to help dwarfs recover treasure from the dreaded dragon Smaug. For what reason? A bit of treasure and an adventure. I personally loved the book. Sierra seems to have added a lot to book so its longer. In many places, they go away from the book. This is bad! The book is great. Stay to it. Think of another way to make it longer. A good part is you get to visit some the great locals from the book.
Graphics
Colorful. Characters look decent even though goblins look like crap.Landscape look okay. No pop-ups. A couple of gliches. Bilbo looks nothing like a hobbit(Except for being short). Average Graphics for a game.
Music / Sound
Great music. You'll play the game just to hear it again. Bilbo's whiny voice is extremely annoying but overall voice acting is good. Sword sounds are realistic, but some sounds are a little weak. Good, but not great.
GamePlay
Easy to pick up and play. A lot like Zelda. One button sword fighting doesn't work out as well as it could of. A good variety of difficult puzzles. THis is a great platformer for fans of middle earth. If your expecting two towers game, don't look here. It's a platform/strategy , not a hack and slash. A good vareity of enemies to destroy. Side quest make for replay value. For platforming, startegy and middle earth fans, you'll find something to like here. For everyone else, you might want to leave this one on the shelf.
