Story
Well, there are stories but there are so many of them. Basically, most games are about Dr. Robotnic trying to take over the world. THere are 7 of the oringinal sonics including 1,2, and 3 plus sonic 3-D blast and others. THere are also unlockable games and features. You can also take a peak at some of the video on the game. All of the games are platformers where you fight robots. Boss battles are at the end of the levels too. But I digress, the real question is do the sonic games need an in depth story. My answer is NO!
Graphics
Not much as change since the oringinal version. There may be a few graphical upgrades, but not many. It does look very cartoon, which is fine. Movement is and always as been great. I just wish they might have made the graphic more decent looking. THese graphics give off a nastaga feel, but it isn't very pretty. Like I said, many things are good, but some things just don't look like they should have done. Maybe SEGA could have put a little more effort into it.
Music / Sound
I was surprised at how good the game sounded. Even though the games were made over 10 years ago, it sounds great. SEGA put in some hard work and it paid off. Music is fantastic. It's the original music but it just sounds a ton better. I could dance to it it sounded so good.
Sound is great too. It was improved. Now sonic can die, get rings, and destroy Robotnic with good sound. It is what should be expected from old games put onto an anthology. Your ears will smile.
GamePlay
Controls feel like the controls from the SEGA Genisis controler. All you use is A and the joystick for most games. The mix of platforming and fighting is what made Sonic so revolutionary and that's why I love this game. I give SEGA a pat on the back for try to make each Sonic game a little different. But still, most of the games are really just copies of the first one with new features.
For those people who used to love sonic, you'll find a lot to love here. Good old. Even for the younger generation, its still a great game. THat's why I give it a 4 out of 5.
