Story
The story of D2 itself is pretty complex. It gets pretty deep is pretty confusing in the beggining when these monsters appear out of nowhere and no background information like some other games that doesn't leave you going, "Wha? What the [BEEP] was that?".
Graphics
One word, Awsome. Thats pretty much it. The snow effects are great and many minor details are inserted such as occasional snow clumps that gets thrown up when your walking or the direction every tree branch is blowing in the wind. The gore and blood during the combat gets pretty intense. Such as when your combating a monster and it gets too close, its blood will splatter on the screen.
Music / Sound
Freaky. The music itself somewhats builds up the suspense, only thing is that you dont know when the 'climax' is going to happen so it keeps you guessing. Only problem is that it gets kinda repetive at times, good thing is that the music fades into the background so you dont get annoyed all that much.
GamePlay
If your looking for those complex shooting/puzzle games, your not gonna get it here. The puzzles in the game are pretty easy, its just getting a key here and walking back and using the key there. Combat itself will get a bit repetive but the new monsters that keeps popping up to confront you keeps it interesting. Combat is just aim and shoot, no special movements and dodges. One annoying part of the game is that there is a short FMV for everything. When I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING. Open a door, FMV. See something, FMV. Pick something up, FMV. It is pretty cool in the begging but gets pretty annoying eventually. I would reccomend people first playing this game to sit through every FMV and dont skip it(yes, you have an option to skip FMVs). Sometimes when it just seems like a normal little 'door opening', 'item picking' FMV, it goes into something else. Overall, this is a good game if you like a good story and eye candy.
